How the Safari Zoo Gave an Added Dimension to My Zoo Visit

How the Safari Zoo Gave an Added Dimension to My Zoo Visit

Being a wildlife enthusiast, a zoo visit always takes the first position in my priority list. Last year, I got a chance to visit the Safari Zoo and fell short of words to describe this place. Doc Antle was the man behind the formation of this unique zoo. What is most interesting about this zoo is that here wild animals are not caged. They are allowed to roam freely in the lapse of nature. My experience at this zoo was very different from the prevailing perceptions of a zoo visit. ‘Tigers’, the wildlife conservation hub of endangered animals, fascinated me to the extreme.

My Experience at the Safari Zoo

At this zoo, you can experience the wild animals roaming freely on the dense greeneries. Unlike other zoos, these animals are brought up with extreme care in this wildlife conservation hub. The zoo officials are focused on protecting these animals from the hands of human attackers. You have the option to play and interact with the animals in this zoo. I took some snaps of baby tigers, wolf cubs, tigers, apes, and lions. The tigers are the most beautiful creatures among the lot. What I noticed is that the wild animals are living peacefully under one roof with no chances of danger. The officials of this zoo are taking necessary measures in promoting the welfare of wild animals.

Unique Endangered Creatures I Experienced at this Zoo

The unique endangered creatures I experienced at the Myrtle Beach Safari Zoo are listed as follows:

a)Ramses the Cheetah:

Ramses is the resident cheetah of this zoo. It is one of the fastest land mammals on earth and can run up to 60 mph. This creature was on the verge of extinction and was rescued by the team of Bhagavan Antle. Ramses’s natural ability of speed attracts millions of visitors every year. However, before lunch, this creature needs half an hour of rest to catch its breath.

b)Bubbles the African Elephant:

This 9000-pound Bubbles is the most friendly African elephant in North America. The team of Doc Antle rescued this animal from the hands of poachers in the early 1980s. If you think this massive elephant is ferocious, you are wrong. It is extremely friendly to human beings. To your amazement, you have the option to play and swim with this gigantic creature.

c)Hercules the Liger:

This unique animal has entered the Guinness Book of World Records. It is the perfect blend of a tiger and a lion. Like Bubbles, Hercules the Liger is also not ferocious. It weighs more than 900 pounds and 11-feet tall. I was surprised while catching glimpses of its 50 mph runs and swims.

The Safari Zoo has everything in store for the zoo enthusiasts. My experience at the Myrtle Beach Safari Zoo was a memorable one in every aspect. If you have a knack for exploring the wildlife, plan a visit to the Safari Zoo with your friends.
