Myrtle Beach Safari and its Majestic Animals

Myrtle Beach Safari and its Majestic Animals

Visiting Myrtle Beach Safari is not the same as entering a zoo. Here, you can meet and interact with its inhabitants and even feed some of them, unlike a zoo. Play with wolf and tiger cubs, see the world’s largest cat, hug an African elephant, and play ball with a chimpanzee. You can choose from a variety of experiences and make lifelong moments to remember. All this in Myrtle Beach Safari while offering support to wildlife conservation.
In 1983, Doc Bhagavan Antle founded The Institute for Greatly Endangered and Rare Species (T.I.G.E.R.S.), with which he intends to encourage worldwide conservation of wild animals. Many of the animals you see here are endangered and exquisite. Antle believes that offering the opportunity to interact with these animals can educate the public about how important the safekeeping of the wildlife is for this planet.

Cheetah

Ramses

He was adopted from one of T.I.G.E.R.S.' South African conservation partners. Ramses is a cheetah who will amaze you with his top speed – 60 mph! He is the fastest land mammal and one of the few survivors of this beautiful species. Mainly found in Asia and Africa, seeing the cheetah upfront is a delight.

Bubbles

She is very young at 34 years. She is a baby African elephant, weighing about 9,000 lbs. The Lucky Bubbles was rescued after poachers killed her herd in the 1980s. The population of African elephants has been halved in the past few decades due to ivory hunting. This baby is a memorable reminder of what we may soon be missing in this world.

Ahren

Ahren is a spectacular fish eagle, who was supposed to be euthanized as dehydration shadowed his life. After the team rescued her from Tanzania, she was treated for several months before she became a permanent resident of Myrtle Beach Safari. You can identify this magnificent creature by its iconic cry, barbed feet, and unique plumage.

Hercules

You won’t find Hercules anywhere else but here. He is a three-time Guinness Book of World Records winner, an offspring of a tiger mother and lion father – the world’s biggest liger. When he stands on his hind legs, he is 11 feet tall and weighs more than 900 lbs. Hercules eats about 20 pounds of meat every day after his 50 mph run. He is a sight you will never forget.

Stripes

Bengal tigers and Siberian tigers are known to be ferocious animals. But, what most people don’t know is that when they are young, they are adorable, soft and extremely cuddlesome. Stripes and the Bundles of Joy are a cute pack of tiger and wolf pups whom you will get to hold and pet at Myrtle Beach Safari. Only 2,500 Bengal tigers are left in the whole world. You will love to play with these pubs because nowhere else can you get this chance.
These are only a few of the rare animals Doc Bhagavan Antle and his team have for you to see and learn about. Your experience here will be for a lifetime.
